Host of In Conversation with Esi Edugyan: April 23
Megan Stuart is a storyteller at heart whose career has moved fluidly between newsrooms, government corridors, creative stages, and community spaces. She began her journey as a reporter for The Bahama Journal in The Bahamas, where a love for literature and listening closely to people’s stories shaped her worldview. That foundation carried her to Canada as an immigrant and, over the past decade in Victoria, into senior roles leading local marketing initiatives, community‑centered events, and wide‑ranging provincial engagement and communications campaigns across both the public and private sectors.
Along the way, Megan has advised and interviewed government officials, industry leaders, and globally recognized thinkers, including author and professor Dr. Myles Munroe, American philosopher Cornel West, and senior corporate executives. She brings this depth of experience to every space she curates—as an event and production manager, the creator of the visual and live artist showcase Vibes & Verses, a board member and Events Chair for Vancouver Island’s Public Relations Society, and a marketing communications consultant for nonprofit organizations. With academic training in literature, communications, intercultural studies, and public engagement, Megan hosts conversations with warmth, curiosity, and the rare ability to make people feel seen—whether they’re award winning authors or emerging voices finding their way to the page.
